Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

I am currently on a job assignment out of town on a terrible shift with not much time to do anything but sleep and eat. With a co-worker we decided to try and make the best out of it, so every day we go on the hunt for “the” lunch place to eat at (which please note would be our breakfast as we don’t go to sleep till around 7am)!

Today, thanks to Mr Guy Fieri Diners Dive-Ins and Dives show from the Food Network Chanel we ended up in a place called the Taco Bus.

After analyzing the menu for quite a bit, I settled for a Carne Asada Tostada with Sour Cream and Guacamole and my co-worker had a Tostada with carnitas as well as 2 soft tacos with Dos Equis Battered grouper.

Now what a treat that was! The atmosphere is fantastic, nobody bothers you and considering its 90 Deg F (32 Celcius), we still enjoyed sitting aside, eating our Tostada and sipping on a cool drink!

This little hidden treasure was located on what the locals call a seedy road, but that of course didn’t deter us from trying it out.

Oh and I nearly forgot their superb slogan “Broken English Perfectly Spoken”! Now is that cool or what…..

So right now, this is has been the highlight of our dining experience, and if you ever find yourself in the area, I suggest you give it a try :-). Here is the link to their website so you can check them out – Taco Bus

Now off to plan the next dining experience……
